Here's why Meanies are the best Irish crisps of them all

That pickled onion flavour, though.

OUR LITTLE NATION is spoiled for choice when it comes to quality crisps.

Tayto, King Crisps, Hunky Dory, Chipsticks, Banshee Bones, Snax… the list goes on.

And while the debate on which is the best crisp tends to centre around Tayto and King, we’re here to argue that Meanies are in fact the best Irish crisps.

First of all, they’re as good a hangover cure as you will find.

Something about that pickled onion just makes hangovers *that* bit more bearable. We reckon eating 13 packets is as good as taking a Solpadeine.

It’s also a highly underrated sandwich filler

You might even say that they’re a vegetable

Not only are they a top-notch hangover cure, but they also go very  nicely with a pint.

Dublin pubs Cassidy’s, P Mac’s and Blackbird have been known to give out free packets of Meanies with drinks.

They’re such an institution that they’ve become a staple of Irish care packages

Possibly because they taste so much like childhood <3

Meanies taste like all the birthday parties you went to as a kid. And we mean that in the best way possible.

Their pickled onion goodness sets them apart from the rest of the pack, really

As if that weren’t enough, they’ve got the best product mascot

Look at the demonic head on him. He would eat Mr. Tayto for breakfast.

*drools*

So, here’s to you, Meanies — the greatest corn snack of them all
